Mirza Ghalib was born on 27 December 1797 in a Mughal Family his real name is Mirza Asad Ullah Baig and his pen names are Ghalib and Asad. He is considered one of the most important and influential among his contemporaries for his up-to-mark work. He is the most influential master of the Urdu language.

At the age of 11 years, Ghalib started to write poetry. He is more popular for his Urdu poetical work but his poetry is in both Urdu and Persian Languages.
